The COO will take on a high-performing non-investment team, that have rock-bottom attrition, to oversee, albeit the headcount includes established managers in operations, finance, compliance, IR and risk, so the role is oversight as opposed to hands-on. The COO will work closely to the CIO and main PM’s on business strategy. Infrastructure development will also be a focus over the coming years as the fund continue to push forwards with their expansion from London.
The ideal candidate will be a boutique hedge fund COO that would see this as a step-up. It is also possible to hire a deputy COO at a larger shop to step into the role. (we are not considering candidates outside of the hedge fund space) Candidates must be qualified accountants. A ‘tech savvy’ COO would be seen as beneficial.
The role can pay a £150-200k base salary. If the hire performs to a high standard then a 100% bonus is achievable. If the fund perform to an exceptional standard, up to a further 100% is achievable as part of an annual profit share that the COO is entitled to.
