Replacing the current COO (as he is leaving London), the new hire will take on COO + CFO titles. The hire will manage the existing non-investment function (5) with a remit/budget to build this out during 2019/2020. Almost everything from an operations, middle office and accounting perspective is kept in house. The Head of Operations is very strong, hence why depth to a core COO skill set + finance experience is crucial, as is the hire’s ability to work with the managing partners on business strategy.
The hire will be joining a top performing firm, that have a market leading EM fund. You will work for a firm that have an excellent working environment and social culture. Amongst numerous company events that run during the year, a fully funded ski trip is run on an annual basis for all staff.
We are looking for an experienced, but not a ‘seasoned’, buy-side COO. We are not looking for a COO that has worked for a $2bn+ hedge fund/Asset Manager, but at the same time we are not looking for a COO managing a low AUM shop. A qualified accountant is preferred. Any UCITS experience would be very useful.
My client will offer up to a 150k base salary + a bonus that will make up a large % of that number should both the hire and fund achieve great performance.
