The role has a broad remit across trade support, finance, technology and compliance responsibilities. The CFO will train the new hire to take ownership for a number of finance tasks (management accounts, month and year end financial statements, NAV work etc.), extending to valuations responsibilities & managing key relationships with the firm’s fund administrator / handling breaks & discrepancies. Trade support tasks involve the hire working closely to the firm’s operations team, handling bottlenecks around reconciliations, cash management and trade booking tasks. The hire will also work alongside the CCO on compliance reporting materials / regulatory filings. The firm use Python and SQL, both for in depth analysis (fund analytics, performance reports, risk analysis etc.) and for ongoing process automation projects - the hire will learn both python and SQL to a strong standard in the role.
Candidates should ideally be first class STEM/finance/economics graduates, either moving into the industry for the first time or with up to 2yrs relevant FS experience. Advanced tech skills are useful, yet not a requirement.
The role is paying a 40-50k base salary + individual performance bonus + a fund profit share, which in a good year can make the TC package particularly lucrative. The firm pride themselves on a good work life balance - the floor is clear by 6pm each day.
