They have a global equities focus and have a very lean operating model given the size of organisation. Performance has been consistently excellent led by a strong senior management team. Even during a difficult 2020, performance has been strong, they have continued to add to the AuM and the business continues to grow.
The business is looking for an experienced finance professional who will report to the CFO/COO but take overall responsibility for finance. This includes finance, tax, regulatory compliance and ownership for the development of a control framework. A lot of the work is outsourced so you will be responsible for managing several external relationships and a wide range of responsibilities. The rest is up to you and you will be encouraged to build and develop the role as you see fit. There is a large scope to leave you mark and help shape the infrastructure and direction of the business. The expectation is you will assume the CFO title within 2 years.
You will need to be flexible, show initiative, identify where the risks to the business and become an essential part of the company. Its also very social, and under normal circumstances, there are away trips and regular companywide social events.
- Strong academic background including university degree
- Qualified accountant
- 10 years+ PQE working in financial services (ideally asset management)
