The business takes equity and debt positions in growing or distressed businesses. Having only launched a few years back their performance has been exceptional with returns of 20%+.
They have launched multiple funds with a multi-billion dollar AuM with a further launch towards the back end of this year. There have been a phenomenal amount of deals and the team has tripled in size since inception and a new office has been secured to help support further growth.
This newly created team that this individual will head up will be responsible for providing financial analysis on the portfolio including their performance, trends affecting their markets, assessing the overall operational and financial health and making recommendations.
You will liaise daily with the investment team on the strength of the portfolio whilst also assisting in due diligence on potential new investments. It will also be expected that you establish a reporting framework for the portfolio companies and help integrate them into the portfolio.
The successful individual will most likely be a qualified accountant and held a commercial finance role whether this is something similar, or FP&A or perhaps a transaction-focused role from one of the professional services firms. However, they are open to a variety of backgrounds so do consider applying if you think your skill-set would work for such a role. You will need strong interpersonal skills so you are able to deal with the variety of teams you will be exposed to. This includes the CFO/Senior Controllers from the portfolio companies.
