A multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund are looking to make a newly created front office hire.
Working alongside the Head Trader for a specific desk/recent European fund launch, you will be hired as a junior trader, but with a remit to be the ‘number 2’. The firm have made this hire several times over the past few years, so there are case study examples of progression in to a junior portfolio manager role within 2/3yrs. You will have exposure to numerous portfolio managers, trading responsibilities and gain greater involvement in idea generation/business strategy with proven success in the role.
You must have graduated from a top university with a 2:1 or a first-class degree. We also expect an A*/A at Maths A-level. The hire should have 1-3yrs experience, ideally working in a Hedge Fund/Investment Bank Front Office role, but we could also look at exceptional individuals working in support roles that would look for immediate front office progression. It will be difficult to progress through the interview process without strong tech skills.
The role is likely to cap out around a 60k base salary, with the scope for a 50-100% bonus in year one.
