The newly created role will see the candidate develop a fundamental understanding of the entirety of the derivative products’ trade flow life-cycle from a support perspective, with a view to then developing and implementing automation procedures to the pre-existing trading and order management systems.
The remit of the role is extremely broad - the new hire will be solely responsible for the development of process improvements and the automation of trade flows for all investment and non-investment functions such as Trading, Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Sales etc. The candidate will also receive on-going training on investment desk support line processes to allow them to handle ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the investment team. The firm’s flat structure means that the new hire will report directly into the COO.
It is a pre-requisite that the candidate has a strong ability in VBA or SQL. Furthermore, candidates should have either a basic ability to code in either C# or Python programming languages OR a strong desire/willingness to learn ASAP. You will be a highly analytical individual from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) degree or with a significant programming background. We prefer 1-3 years’ experience in an Information Technology role, preferably within Financial Services from either a consultancy, tech platform, investment bank or buy-side manager. An IMC/IAQ qualification or willingness to learn and attain relevant professional qualifications is preferred. You will be process driven with a strong attention for detail and problem-solving mentality.
The role can offer a base salary above market rate and a 50%+ bonus potential.
