Working in a team of 5 (and directly facing off to the CIO, PM’s and Analyst team), the hire will cover a broad remit stretching across operations, finance and risk management responsibilities. That will constitute around 50% of the role as the intention is for the new hire to take ownership over, a) the management of counterparty/PB relationships, b) running projects in margin/collateral/treasury that directly impact the P&L of the wider business, c) working alongside the CFO in taking the lead on process improvement work for the fund, acting in more of a consultative capacity.
Candidates must have a strong academic profile and excellent derivatives knowledge. We are open to IB operations/trade support or hedge fund operations professionals, ideally with 2-5yrs experience, although we have flexibility.
The role will ideally pay a 50-60k base salary, but as the title suggests we have good flexibility on the banding. Each of the other 4 team members earned a 75-100% bonus this year.
The firm have a very diverse, multi-cultural office. They hugely respect working environment, culture and work-life balance. They promote flexibility on working hours, so whilst a couple of people start early and leave the office very early each day, most other staff don’t start their working day until after 10am each day to help with easier travel in to London, school runs etc.
