Our client is a global $20bl alternative credit manager with strategies across loans, high yield bonds, structured credit, distressed and private debt/ direct lending.
The firm is further building out its product specialist team and is looking for a VP to lead the function for direct lending / private debt. The firm also plans to hire two junior people over the next 12 months who will directly support this individual on direct lending. In addition to becoming a manager, the new hire will grow towards a senior product specialist role with their client facing responsibilities increasing. They will host investor meetings at the office. They will also be conducting investor reviews, serving as a proxy of the investment team. They should be able to take on meetings instead of the portfolio managers. They may also attend meetings with the sales team to specifically discuss the direct lending strategy / products.
The ideal candidate will have experience with credit strategies. While experience with direct lending is ideal, candidates with loans, high yield, structured credit, distressed and broader fixed income experience will also be considered.
