A market leading, credit strategy hedge fund, are looking to make a key front office support hire.
Initially hired in to a senior line middle office role (operations/back office + finance functions are separate), facing off to the investment desk, the hire will be trained by the current middle office manager to move in to his role within one year (as he takes up a more senior role within the firm). You will be expected to pick up their business practice, systems and fund strategies quickly, to then make the step up to manage the team. Simultaneously, we need to ensure that the hire is comfortable (and not too far removed) from running a line MO process. The hire can also expect to have a strong project management component to his/her role - The function work on very complex transactions and it is an important feature that it continues to automate processes + build out new initiatives, around new static data + FX hedging processes for example.
We are looking to hire a buy-side credit strategy specialist (pre-requisite) with roughly 6-10yrs experience in a middle office line role. To stress, we are looking for a line analyst/controller to step up rather than a seasoned manager. You should be degree educated. Any clear track record of project management success is preferred.
There is a degree of flexibility on base salary, to hire the best person for the role with an attractive increase on current base. A large % of base will be realised as a bonus for a high performer.
