A circa $5bn AUM multi-strategy asset management firm are looking to make a newly created operations hire.
Reporting into the Head of Operations, this is a newly created hire as ‘number 2’ in London. The role stretches across the full operations and middle office process, however as the firm outsource the full operations/back office remit to an external provider, you will instead oversee, manage and ‘police’ the outsourced provider + analyse the work that they produce (presenting findings to the investment desk that you face off to) as opposed to performing core hands-on work. As the fund is rapidly expanding, you will play a key role in building out existing infrastructure / new processes.
The firm run hedge fund, long only and FoF businesses. Given the broad range of funds across multiple jurisdictions, there are a large volume of queries to handle, so the hire can also expect to operate in a role with a strong emphasis on relationship management and trouble-shooting (rather than strictly working with a line operations remit).
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional line operations analyst (5-10yrs) looking for a step up. Operations professionals from a fund of funds background are preferred, but outside of that candidates from top buy-side firms / funds with a private equity structure could be suitable.
The role will pay up to a 70k base salary, a bonus that can make up a large % of base and it offers an excellent benefits package. The firm also offer a favourable work life balance.
