We are working with one of the world’s leading and biggest multi-strategy hedge funds. Their strategies span the discretionary and systematic spectrum. The firm is expanding their Discretionary Macro Investment team and this hire is part of the growth.

The Role

The firm is looking for a data-driven Economist to join the team. The successful candidate will be directly supporting the investment teams by forming views on European economies and deriving insights from large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of economic data releases and forecasting inflation
• Analyse, derive insights, and present findings on data to assist the investment team
• Perform macroeconomic research and some statistical modelling

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a STEM/quantitative field
• Experience in inflation forecasting and modelling, with a focus on EUR
• +3 years of experience in investment data analysis, specifically with a focus on macro/rates strategies in a fund
• Strong ability to source and analyse data on a macro level
