Head of Human Resources – Boutique Hedge Fund – Up to £150k total comp

Location: London   Sectors

A key focus in the role is on ‘company culture’ – the new HR will be tasked with making improvements (including resolving disagreements / conflicts), making this a much better / more positive environment to work in. It takes a certain type of person to be successful at this / command respect and make an impact from day one.

BAU tasks are focused on compensation & benefits / remuneration (the new hire will be tasked with bringing in new systems/policies/processes), running 360 staff reviews (there is no current system in place for reviews, promotions, disciplinaries etc.), the rollout of long term incentive plans + the rollout of a new HR system.

The hire will ideally spend 5 days per week in the office, especially initially, but 3-4 days could be fine.

In addition to the correct personality fit and strong communication skills, we can only consider candidates with soli buy-side / alternatives experience. An ideal candidate would have roughly 7-15yrs experience in a HR generalist role, looking to step up into a ‘Head of’ role for the first time. That said, this is a boutique size firm, so candidates must appreciate that this will be a stand-alone, manual, ‘head of’ role, with no direct reports initially.

The role is budgeted to pay up to a £150k year one total comp package, with larger comp potential possible as the firm and remit of the role expands.
