A very successful hedge fund with a large, expanding AUM are looking to make a key addition in to its Sales & Marketing function.
The current incumbent is moving internally (in to a research analyst role having been in this position for 2yrs), hence why this is a replacement hire. The firm have an excellent track record of hiring juniors in to interesting roles, training them up and allowing them to then move on internally. This particular role is being hired with a view to a future Marketing/Asset Raiser or Fund Analyst/Researcher role in mind.
You will directly support a team of senior marketers with broad responsibilities encompassing being the first point of contact for existing clients (on issues, queries or questions), compiling marketing materials and presentations for the team and owning core processes such as RFP’s. However the role is much more varied than in other shops given the ‘Analyst’+ Project focus incorporated, including – analysing internal products & performance against the market, analysing similar funds & performance attributions in the market (when the firm are looking to launch a new fund/product) - always presenting your findings to the Marketing + Investment team. You will also be given autonomy to create specific marketing campaigns. You will regularly work on Ad-hoc projects for the CIO and COO.
We are looking for an individual with an excellent academic record, looking for a longer term career in buy-side sales or investments. You should ideally be a 2019/2018 graduate. You must be detailed orientated, with strong analytical skills and have a personality that fits Front Office.
The role will cap at a 35k base salary. A 25-50% bonus is a possibility for a strong performer. That said we feel that the correct hire’s motivations should be focused on the exceptional learning + progression potential that this role offers.
