A hugely successful US Hedge Fund, currently in process of a build out of its London office, are looking to make a key-non investment hire.
The London office is very well-established, but it currently purely consists of investment & sales professionals – the London office are now looking to make an operations/middle office hire (they are currently supported by the US operations team, but the new hire will have sole responsibility for the European desk). We are looking for a hire to purely handle all Operations, Middle Office and Trader Assistant responsibilities. Given the nature of the London office, TA responsibilities will play a big bulk of the role. You will also work closely to The European Head of Trading on key projects (especially with regards to system build outs). As the hire grows in to the role, it will evolve with a greater front office/investment focus (potentially hiring a junior to supervise), including shorter term coverage of trade execution. The ideal hire could definitely eventually work their way in to a trader or research analyst role.
We are looking for a Hedge Fund Operations Analyst / Trader Assistant with 2-5yrs relevant experience to step in to the role. We could also consider an IB operations/trade support professional completing a graduate scheme (circa 2-3yrs experience) that could consider his/her first move in to a hedge fund. A strong academic record is required.
The firm are looking to pay a 50-65k base salary. They are expecting to offer a 50%+ bonus for a strong performer.
A potential added attraction for the hire is that the London office are keen for the individual to work 12-7/8 for a number of days each month, but they would not expect the person to start earlier/finish later than that over those days. Outside of those days, a standard 830-530 working day is deemed perfectly adequate.
