In this position, you’ll be both technically hands-on and strategically involved—leading a global team of developers while building tools that streamline workflows, improve operational transparency, and support risk and treasury functions across the firm. This is a chance to shape how technology enables scale and insight in a fast-moving trading environment.

You’ll help define how new and existing applications evolve—from establishing robust back-end services to shaping thoughtful, intuitive user interfaces. You'll also work closely with operations stakeholders, business analysts, and other tech teams across the firm to identify opportunities for automation and ensure tight integration with broader trading and risk platforms. The role sits at a critical junction between business operations and engineering, offering the chance to shape how technology drives insight, scale, and resilience in a fast-paced, global trading environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading a global team of developers focused on building tools for operations, risk, and treasury workflows
• Designing full stack applications that automate manual processes, improve data visibility, and enable strategic decision-making
• Collaborating directly with operations stakeholders and business analysts to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Creating reusable UI components to support consistency and speed across new features
• Contributing to data integration projects involving brokers, custodians, and internal systems
• Driving technical strategy and mentoring across a growing tech organisation

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of Java development experience, ideally with exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React or TypeScript
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Previous experience in a financial institution (buy-side or sell-side); operations or treasury tech knowledge is a plus
• Proven leadership or team management experience, with the ability to guide and grow a team
• Comfortable working closely with end users and cross-functional teams
• Exposure to cloud and distributed tech (e.g. Kafka, Docker, Python, Snowflake) is desirable
